GREEN FLAG SUCCESS ONCE AGAIN

The Friends of Peace Memorial Park are delighted and very proud to have been awarded a Green Flag again for 2011/12.   Peace Memorial Park is Wigston's War Memorial, and the Friends  work very hard all year round, in conjunction with Oadby and Wigston Borough Council, to ensure that the Park is maintained as a peaceful green haven in the middle of a very busy Wigston town centre.  The Green Flag Award recognises the effort of one and all to cherish and promote the Park for the benefit of all the residents of Wigston.

The Friends of PMP are absoluted delighted to announce that they have been awarded a Green Flag for the year 2010/11.  This is the fourth year in succession the Park has gained this award, and it is the culmination of much hard work and collaboration between Oadby and Wigston Borough Council Grounds Maintenance staff and the Friends' management committee.
